R.I.P. Marcia Wallace, voice of ‘The Simpsons’ Edna Krabappel

Marcia Wallace, the longtime voice actress of Bart's fourth grade teacher, Edna Krabappel, has passed away at age 70.

A fellow cast member and voice of Lisa Simpson, Yeardley Smith, tweeted a farewell to Wallace on Twitter Saturday morning: "Cheers to the hilarious, kind, fab Marcia Wallace, who has taken her leave of us. Heaven is now a much funnier place b/c of you, Marcia." Yeardley's twitter account has since been deleted or deactivated.

Wallace was previously on The Bob Newhart show as Carol Kester, the receptionist.

I think these panels perfectly sum up how we all feel:

But this is how we should all remember her.
