Neckbeard Basement Escape
People hate being made fun of personally, but they love to be made fun of as a group. It allows them to pretend the jokes are about others in their peer group instead of themselves. Just like when women dance to a misogynistic song while thinking "It's because he's not calling ME a bitch," internet users and neckbeards can play this game while thinking "I'm not as fat and gross as THAT guy". The game isn't very challenging, but it's funny and full of fapping jokes. So in my book, it's a win.
