Artist Takes a Macabre Twist on Childhood Icons
Dan Luvisi is an American artist who began drawing at the age of three--just moments after discovering the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Since then, he's landed a ton of jobs in the comic book, film and even costume design industry. Some of his projects focus on childhood icons with a bit of a humorous, macabre twist. Here ya go:
I can almost hear my grandmother now, "Why can't artists just leave things be. They're always taking other people's images and altering them!" My nana had a lot of good opinions, but when it came to art she always missed the boat. I sure am glad she's not around anymore to try and sway my artistic opinions.
