| Dood, ya have a cold solder joint somewhere in your tuner most likely but it really could be anywhere, dead pixels don't do that, if ya hit it and shit gets better then that has to be a cold solder joint. Buy a friggen soldering gun, sit your ass down, and solder the shit that doesn't look so shiny, buy yourself a bottle of paint remover, and a little tooth brush, brush the whole main board, then find the stuff that doesn't looks so well soldered and solder the broken solder joints. Hitting the TV with a baseball bad almost mad me cry. ehehehhehe |

And comon, it's not fake? It's not that strange that whatever is lose in the tv, can get shaken into working again like that. |

As usual, you're the only strange one here. However, yes; it is very possible to "fix" a TV like this. Not recommended, but possible. Cheaper TV's sometimes have a contact corrosion problem that can be remedied with a little "persuasion" as they're not soldered. Being an older/cheaper model he had little to lose and good sport "fixing it".  |
