Once, when I was in Yosemite climbing the Nose, I fell and broke my wrist. But I had a rope and wasn't trying to kill myself. So I guess that wasn't really relevant.   |

| NOT FUNNY. Suicide is serious. My son died by suicide. His mental illness killed him...just like a heart disease could have or cancer. He was very sick with bi-polar. So PLEASE do not make jokes about this guy jumping from his window...My son shot himself at age 23 and we miss him so much. This guy who jumped has a Mom and a family...who hopefully took this jump SERIOUSLY and he is still alive and feeling better. Some medications and treatments just do not work on a small percentage of people...BUT I hope they at least TRY for him! Your comments about this guy make me want to throw up! Do you want me to put Philip's picture up like we found him? In his own pool of blood with half of his brain by the blood splattered wall? How will we, as parents EVER get that picture out of our minds? Stop laughing for one moment and think about all of us out there who have lost a child to suicide.~~~Philip's MaMa |

We can't stop out lives just because no matter what we do, there is bound to be someone somewhere that had a bad experience with it.
In my opinion anything and everything is ok to have a laugh about. It's not like someone would go there and point and laugh at someone in such a situation. But there is absolutely nothing wrong with joking about the subject. |
