Its a very poorly done illusion. Hes on the floor behind the bed. The bed doesn't have an open bottom as it appears but rather a solid front to conceal him. Its not totally solid though since you see the shadow of the clappers to the head of the bed. But the poor part really is the concealing under the blanket. Its obvious shes there before he covers up and its obvious hes there after she appears. Just replay it a couple times and look closely. You can see him sneak down behind the bed as she whips the blanket off.
