I've been around a bit but I've never heard the expression before. HOWEVER, Mitch has been in some strange and exotic places, (Iowa for one) so I'm never too sure what he'll come up with next. I think they greet one another where he lives now with: hi-dee. |

Yes, that is true... Hi-dee or how-dee are perfectly acceptable greetings in my neck of the woods... But I am a redneck, born and raised in South Carolina... Its not something that I am proud of, but the facts are the facts... I've had a lot of adversity to overcome because of it... People 10 2 lift an eyebrow when you tell them your from South Carolina... Hell, I live in North Carolina now... Its not like that is a lot better... And yeah, I lived and worked on a hydro dam power plant in the middle of the Mississippi river up in Iowa for about a year... And I could tell that the people there were definitely smarter on average than they are here... But damn it, just because I live my life in the middle of a bunch of dumb asses don't make me one too... And hey, I'm one foot, eight inches taller than you anyway... You probably know a little something about overcoming adversity yourself...

Oh, the stigma of being a genius from South Carolina.
76"+20"= 96" = 8' or 2.4384 Meter= HOLY COW!
UH, UH, UH, Wait a minute. You're EIGHT FEET TALL?????? >>Do you mind if I just call you sir???<<

On a serious note; after my wife and I watched the Christie series a few years back, we were traveling "the trail" south of Ashville, when I passed a good [intelligent] looking young lady and she greeted me with "hi dee." I told Betty "Hey, they really do say "hi dee" around here." |
