| Oh he messed up on the edit. Notice how the blood on the floor mysteriously goes over his pinky finger when he reaches the camera. That's because he didn't matte off his finger so the blood would go behind it. He used After Effects for this. I have done the same exact kind of stuff BUT mine actually looked real. |

I have the unique experiance to say you are correct. To start with I am an amateur cinimatographer/ videographer/ photographer, who has worked part time professionally for studios. I have also had the THRILLING experiance of having been shot in the hand from close range. As videographer/photographer, I cannot find a flaw in the video after going over it frame by frame. As one who has experianced being shot in the hand at close range I can verify what you say exactly. The powder burn on the palm shows up perfectly, and I can tell you that by the time a half hour goes by it will burn LIKE FIRE!!! Powder BURNS!!! It goes all the way through the wound and they cannot give you anything for pain until the wound is cleaned of burnt and unburnt powder. When I was riding in the ambulance I BEGGED for ice or something- ANYTHING!! The attendant showed me that he had a chemical ice pack on the wound. IT STILL BURNED LIKE HELL because of the gunpowder. Having had first aid training I can tell you you are wrong so far as to it being cauterized. There is little bleeding due to shock.   |

something tells me he would have shot the tendons in his hand allowing him to straighten his middle finger.
the hand has the natural tendency to curl up. without the use of these tendons he would not be able to straighten his hand. |
