	The touching is a very important part of the set-up. It's derived from a form of (almost) hypnotism called Neuro-linguistic programming. Notice that the first time he touches the 'mark' (Shaun of the Dead star Simon Peg) on the arm, Derren is referring to the great feeling of excitement and happiness you get when you open a present. By touching the 'mark' on the arm as he refers to this feeling he is associating this touch with that feeling. You will see that every time after that Derren uses a key word (as explained at the end of the video) or refers to the feeling of joy and excitement, he touches the 'mark' on the arm. This associates this amazing feeling with the bmx gift, which is why the 'mark' is so overjoyed when he unwraps his present. Pretty sneak stuff eh?
