Lots of people who watched UFC for a long time, have discussed endlessly on how the monks would fare in the ring. Me in included... Unfortuneatly there's too much buddha religion involved with those guys, so it goes against their codes and beliefs to enter any competitions other than shows.
I think they would do pretty well in the ring though, considering they basically start training since they learn to walk and seemingly never stops... And as seen in this and plenty other videos, they really go to lenghts to harden themselves.
Humble little bastards who train their minds and bodies in preperation for defending their monastary in case of war, and not to seek fame in a ring or elsewhere = Respect. |
