A Lesson In Forgiveness

This little girl was shot when she was three and her spine severed. She's confined to a wheel chair for the rest of her life. Her statement in court may surprise you. In an incredible act of bravery and grace this little girl forgives the guy who shot her.

	its rare to see this kind of compassion in this world. Not to turn it into a racial issue but do you think if the family was whita that they would have the forgivness displayed by these people. Its a horrible situation resulting with no winners but its good to see something beneficial come out of this even if it is just an apology its still better than another violent crime.

	Yes, it would be extremely hard to forgive a man that did something like that, but I think that those two are living examples of how the world could be a better place. Forgivness is sometimes the best weapon.

	The little girl's mommy is also forgiving him, so that child can grow up and still keep the same perspective. Just because we would hate him doesn't mean that she will have the same feelings. Not everybody has the same reactions and feelings. That makes our world more interesting.

Not to rehash an old comment, but I have to do this. The full name of the tree from which they ate was the Tree of Knowledge of Good & Evil. Not Tree of Knowledge. What was gained by eating the fruit was the ability to distinguish good from evil, the ability to feel ashamed, the ability to commit evil acts. It was not like he shoved the Encyclopedia Britannica in a fruit and said if you eat it you shall die. And never did the bible, sorry Bible, say that they gained all the knowledge of God. If that were the case, then there would be no such thing as scientific advancement, nor discoveries, because we would already know these things. Now, please do not think I am a Bible-thumper...far from it. I do, however, believe that before you can argue against something, you must know what it actually is that you are arguing against. Only in that way can you truly argue your point with some validity. I mean no disrespect to anyone's opinions, I just feel that anger and fear are not just reasons to react from. If that makes any sense at all.

This little girl would be considered a Master. What I mean by that is there are only two human emotions, Love and Fear. All other emotions are derivatives of these two emotions. When a person is able to accept all life occurances with Love, and react from Love instead of fear, they are considered Masters. This concept spans all religions and spiritualities. Even the sciences.
