Wow, it's incredible how these things are natural occurances in places like that.... Thank God for that medical team, I hope they were able to help him. I just wish they were capable of doing more, you know? I mean, there are just so many cases like that, where do you start? No one should have to live like that when they have the choice not to. |

| the aid worker in the video with his sunglasses -- he's actually part of a larger effort trying to help these little kids. what happens is the janjaweed militia comes in to a villiage and lays waste to it. all the young boys can either flee or become slave/soldiers for them. those that flee end up, amazingly, meeting up in niger or someplace like that in these sort of ad hoc, kid-run orphganages. its so like oliver twist, you wouldn't believe it. i wish i could remember the name of the relief group this guy's with, because their efforts deserve the free advertising. good stuff these guys are doing for these kids. |

Should god not just step in and cure this guy himself Lady Sonja? Isn't your god responsible for this in the first place? |

| Cyclepath, is it really necessary to follow me to other posts to bash my beliefs? As far as God curing people, the Bible says that "If two or more are gathered in My name, it shall be done." And, "By the laying on of hands, it shall be done." This man doesn't look like he went out of his way to get help from anyone, let alone God. I believe he even said that he wasn't happy about parting with it. |

| Lady Sonja...I was not "following you" to bash your beliefs, just happened to view the same clips. As for bashing your beliefs, I just feel that "god" and all that goes along with "god" is truly a load of shit. Do you know that more people have been killed in the name of god than have been killed for every other reason put together? You should do some reaserch into what your religion truly stands for and maybe your convictions would change. But there is an expression that comes to mind with people like you....Ignorance is Bliss!!!! Have a nice day! |

Cyclepath, any basic history class will tell you what my "religion truly stands for." I am aware of the Crusades, of the exploration and exploitation of new lands by people in the name of God. However, those people seemed to have missed the basic idea of God striking down their ENEMIES, not them striking down innocent people for their own gains in His name. Perhaps you've heard of the Charismatic movement? And that quote about more people being killed in the name of God is by George Carlin, by the way. In either case, regardless of what you believe, I believe that God loves you, and so do I. |

Oh ok, I found it... The [TONGUE THAT SHALL RISE UP] thingy... I guess the guy must have tatos all over him, I don't know... And I also respect your religious beliefs... I don't understand people fighting over religious beliefs, maybe because I don't have any... But I think its like music, people feel very strongly about the music they like... Its like I hate country music, but say Joe Blow down the street likes it... Well, I know Joe can't help he likes country no more than I can help the kind of music I like... we can't pick a kind of music and say, well this is the kind of music I want to like... It don't work like that, so why would I knowing all this hate Joe ??? But a whole lot of people still do hate people for the music they like and there religious beliefs... |

| Liberia is where all the freed American slaves went. The young man in the video is very lucky to have gotten the attention of aid workers. I too would have liked to see more and whether they could help him or not. |

I can honestly say I've never done that. But I have had that done to me. I was in the shower and they rang on my doorbell to leave me a flyer, a pamphlet and a movie about Jesus. I was extremely annoyed, but at the same time extremely amused at their notion that I wanted the pamphlet and movie But I can't say I've been a victim of that more than once, I kinda live a little out of the way of the Jehovah's Witnesses (thank God). |
