	The Ural Mountains, located at roughly 60 degrees east longitude, act as a sort of border between the continents of Asia and Europe. These mountains are inside the borders of Russia proper, with the majority of population to the west and the majority of the land area to the east. The area west of the Urals and inside the borders of Russia is referred to as "European Russia." So, the nation of Russia is both Asian and European, similar to the nation of Turkey. In fact, some Georgaphers and mapmakers do not include Europe or Asia as continents at all, instead combining the two and calling it Eurasia. However most who have been to either continent would typically agree that the two are too distinct to combine. On a different note, I would like to retract the comment posted previously under this username. Believe it or not, few Americans feel even the most remote hatred toward Europeans, or any other group for that matter. Only the ignorant hold fast to a platform of hatred (as a certain other user of this computer does). In particular Bram, Funbags, and Sangwria, please accept my sincerest apologies regarding this matter. I have already made sure such hate speech is never again transmitted from this computer.
